SportsFest cannot run without Volunteers

Volunteers are an integral part of SportsFest and are crucial to the smooth running of the weekend.

Why Volunteer?

  1. We need around 200 volunteers to see that each sport runs Smoothly
  2. By volunteering you are supporting the youth from your church as they build relationships with their peers.

As a volunteer there is a variety of roles you can play. The roles include Scoring, Umpiring, Co-ordinating, First Aid, Hospitality Team & Setup & Pack up Team, you will find all the information about these roles on the Volunteer Registration Form.

As part of being a Volunteer, ideally you are available for at least 3 of the 4 sporting sessions and also be at the sport/game 15mins before the sport starts to help with setup.

There is no charge for Volunteers to attend the weekend and Saturday & Sunday evening meals are provided for you.

Before you can become a volunteer, if you are 18 years of age or older it is state legislation that you have a Working with Children Card. See more details.
You must give a copy to your Church Coordinator when giving in your registration form.

We have Volunteer Tops and Headwear Available. There are Polo Shirts, Rugby Jumpers, Hats & Beanies which will have the SportsFest logo embroidered on them. The clothing is purely optional and has been subsidised as a Thank You to the volunteers who give their time to help run SportsFest. The order form is attached below, fill it out and give it to your Church Coordinator by the 9th August. Alternately you can order it direct from the Baptist Union Office on or before the 9th August.
